* It is not a prescriptive tool that tells you what to do; rather, it should inspire stakeholders to adapt it to their specific contexts and needs.
* It is a dynamic method based on the contribution of different organisations
* It is inspired from the CHS
* It is an operational resource that helps you work step by step towards meeting the requirements of the CHS standard
* It requires a support at institutional level and must be accompanied by trained and willing teams

* It is not a standard

* It does not allow for a declaration of compliance with the CHS
